Title: Decade By Decade

Author: Walker Evans

Walker Evans was one of the most dominant American photographers. Evans documented poverty in the South during the Great Depression. He altered the outlook many Americans had on their country. Decade by Decade is a book that spans out all of Evan's work and shows many photographs that are rarely seen.

What I love about the book is that it makes you feel that you are a victim of the Great Depression. Evans takes you from the start when the Great Depression began and takes you through until the fortunate years and beyond.

There is not much I dislike about the book, however if I could adjust one thing to the book, it would be to possibly add more writing to it about each photograph.

"The matter of art in photography may come down to this: it is the capture and projection of the delights of seeing; it is the defining of observation full and felt." - Walker Evans
